Kuma Miko's Masume Yoshimoto Launches New Manga
Kyō wa Kawabe de Sugoshitai manga launches on November 5
The 37th issue of Champion Buzz, the digital magazine supplement to Akita Shoten's Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine, revealed on Thursday that Masume Yoshimoto will launch a new manga (pictured left below) titled Kyō wa Kawabe de Sugoshitai (I Want to Spend the Day at the Riverbank) in the supplement's next issue on November 5.
The manga centers on Sawakita, who spends his lunchbreaks at the riverbank, away from work and noise. One day something appears before him.
Yoshimoto launched the Kuma Miko: Girl Meets Bear manga in Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Flapper magazine in 2013, and ended it in December 2023. Kadokawa published the manga's 20th and final compiled book volume in January 2024. One Peace Books is releasing the manga in North America, and released the eighth volume in 2018.
A television anime adaptation of the manga premiered in 2016. Funimation streamed the series as it aired in Japan.
