I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World (Iseleve) Season 2 First Trailer, New Cast, January 2027 Release Revealed

I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in the Real World, Too (Iseleve) Season 2 revealed the first trailer and a January 2027 release date. The sequel was announced back in March during AnimeJapan. Studio Millepensee is back to handle the animation production, along with the director Shin Itagaki and character designer Hiromi Kimura.

Season 2 will continue Yuya Tenjo’s story after he defeats the Fist Saint and gains a new power connected to the Evil. While Yuya trains to make that power his own, the forces of Evil continue to grow. Joining the voice cast are:

• Ikumi Hasegawa as Iris Knowblade
• Sora Amamiya as Mai Kagurazaka

Iris Knowblade is the Sword Saint and one of the strongest Saints, set to face Yuya in an official match. Iris is described as a master swordswoman searching for a man stronger than herself, and she becomes interested in Yuya after meeting him during the match. Like Yuya and Kaori, Mai originally comes from the real world. She served as a shrine maiden before being summoned to another world as the “Saintess,” and possesses a special power capable of purifying Evil.

Hasegawa commented:

“I’m Ikumi Hasegawa, the voice of Iris.
I’m thrilled to be able to dive into the world of ‘Iseleve’ in the 2nd Season!
The character I voice, Iris, is a strong, brave, cool girl, but…
Just how this girl’s relationship with Yuuya develops is something I hope you’ll look forward to!
Thank you!”

Amamiya also commented:

“The character I voice, Mai Kagurazaka, is a beautiful girl dressed as a shrine maiden, surrounded by an air of enigma.

She’s a mysterious character; despite her aloof demeanour, she’s very caring and surprisingly gets embarrassed easily, giving you a glimpse into her naïve personality, so please look forward to Mai’s involvement in the story!”

I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too is a Japanese light novel series by Miku. It has been published under Fujimi Shobo’s Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint since 2018. Yen Press licensed both the light novel and its manga adaptation in English. They describe the story:
“EVERYONE NEEDS A HERO — Demons and corrupt fallen deities have been causing trouble in the other world, so Yuuya could use a break. Thankfully, now that exams are finally over, he can enjoy summer vacation. And nothing says summer like a day at the beach and goofing off with friends! All Yuuya has to think about is how to react to cute girls in swimsuits and a sudden job at a beachside café. That is, until the group goes to a spooky shrine for a test of courage, and they come face-to-face with a very REAL evil that looks just like a Demon…The appearance of an unexpected hero will shake things up in both worlds!“
