Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 Reveals Global Release Times, All Episodes to Drop at Once on October 20

CYBERPUNK: EDGERUNNERS 2 has revealed its global release schedule ahead of its October 20, 2026 premiere on Netflix. The official release timing map confirms that the new anime will arrive simultaneously worldwide, beginning at 12:00 a.m. PDT in Los Angeles. The official account also confirmed the release will be “all in one drop,” suggesting that every episode will be available at once rather than having a weekly schedule.

Studio TRIGGER is back to animate, with Netflix set to exclusively stream the series. We recently spoke with the show’s writer and producer Bartosz Sztybor, who told us why they chose the studio and shared insights into the production.

The new anime is a new 10-episode story from the world of Cyberpunk 2077, earlier described as “a raw chronicle of redemption and revenge.” It is directed by Kai Ikarashi, who directed Episode 6 of the original anime titled “Girl on Fire.” Ichigo Kanno is the character designer, while screenplay will be handled by Masahiko Otsuka. Bartosz Sztybor is also back as showrunner, story writer, and producer. The anime was voted as the most anticipated Fall 2026 anime by Anime Corner’s followers.

CD PROJEKT RED (or CDPR) is the company behind the Cyberpunk 2077 video game. Studio TRIGGER also animated the first CYBERPUNK: EDGE RUNNERS anime series, which was released in September 2022 and also had a total of 10 episodes. The franchise launched a prequel manga focused on Rebecca and Pilar in December 2024.

The first anime was voted as the Best New Anime of the year in our yearly awards for that year, as well as the Best Original Anime. Netflix is streaming the show, describing its story:
The series tells a standalone, 10-episode story about a street kid trying to survive in Night City — a technology and body modification-obsessed city of the future. Having everything to lose, he stays alive by becoming an edgerunner — a mercenary outlaw also known as a cyberpunk.
