BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Calamity has delayed Episode 49 and Episode 50 to October 2026 in order to “improve quality” as the anime approaches its climax. The anime previously revised the streaming schedule for numerous platforms in Japan.

Episode 50 (Episode 10 of The Calamity) will follow on TV Tokyo a week later on October 26and BS TV Tokyo on October 27.

The updated schedule is:

  • Episode 49: October 19
  • Episode 50: October 26

Until Episode 49 resumes the main story, TV Tokyo will air BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War “Climax Selection” episodes on September 19, September 26, October 5 and October 12. The feature episodes include:

Created by Tite Kubo, BLEACH was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2001 to 2016 and concluded with 74 volumes. The manga has exceeded 130 million copies in circulation worldwide, making it one of the best-selling manga series of all time.

The original anime adaptation aired from 2004 to 2012 and received four theatrical films. The franchise returned in 2022 with BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War, adapting the manga’s final arc. Its final part (Part 4) is set to release in July. Tite Kubo has confirmed it will include even more original material than the previous parts, expanding the manga’s final battles.

On a related note, BLEACH: Mirrors High opened pre-registrations last month, with the game set to launch in 2026.
